Lorry Loader Training Course Outline

A lorry loader is the combination of a load carrying vehicle (lorry) and a loader (crane) which is primarily intended to facilitate the handling of the load on or off the vehicle. A lorry loader is normally fitted with one pair of stabilising legs, and in this configuration depends on the weight of the vehicle, the reaction through the vehicle’s springs and the stabilising legs for its stability.

There has been an increase in the variety of applications with clamps, grabs, grapples, winches, buckets, inspection platforms being fitted for different needs. They vary in size from 250kg lifting capacity swing lifts to 40 tonne loaders (crane).

A36 lorry loader:

We offer A36 lorry loader training courses for novices and semi-experienced candidates. Operator testing for operator’s that need no further training. For novice operators; CPCS and CITB recommend a minimum 3-5 day course depending on the application and use.

Semi-experience operator training duration may vary dependant on the amount of operator experience. Generally we recommend A36 CPCS lorry loader training, this is the most widely accepted scheme in the construction industry, offering the operator better work opportunities.

NPORS is accepted on some construction sites; however at present we would recommend A36 CPCS lorry loader training and testing. A36 CPCS lorry loader training is for the all machine sizes; however A36 CPCS lorry loader has endorsements, which are as follows:
