NRSWA Streetworks Reassessments
New Street Works qualifications regulations came into force on 10th April 2010. Since April 2011, anyone carrying out work on highways is required to be reassessed every 5 years for professional competence.
These regulations introduce the requirement that supervisors and operatives must be reassessed every five years to confirm that they are still competent before they can re-register and continue to carry out Streetworks. In April 2011, the mandatory requirement for Streetworks reassessment began.
6 months either side:
Awarding bodies will issue a Streetworks reassessment certificate of achievement to enable qualifications to be re-registered, please note your card is not valid from the date of expiry & contractors will not accept an expired card for highways works.
Full assessment as a new entrant will be required to register. Streetworks examinations are only available to candidates that currently hold a Streetworks card.
Streetworks reassessment training:
A Streetworks reassessment training course is designed to provide the candidate with a review of the Streetworks units and remind the candidate of the technical information they require to successfully pass the Streetworks reassessments exams.

After successfully completing the Streetworks reassessment training course; candidates can complete an assessment in Streetworks reassessment.
All candidates will be trained and tested by one of our fully accredited, expert Streetworks reassessment training instructors.
Streetworks reassessment training duration is 2 Days consisting of a maximum of 9 units.
Delegates
The Streetworks reassessment training course is designed for candidates that hold a Streetworks qualification, that is within 6 months of their expiry date on the Streetworks card.
These are open to the general public and may be undertaken to enhance the knowledge and skills of operatives and supervisors working in the highway taking the reassessment exams.
Outcome
At the end of the Streetworks reassessment training course, the candidates should have a good understanding of the units on their Streetworks card.
On completion of a reassessment training course; the candidate should be able to achieve the required standards of the Streetworks reassessment training theory exams.
If the candidate completes the Streetworks reassessment training course he/she will be awarded SWQR Streetworks Qualification Register certificate.
Conditions of Streetworks Reassessment
No candidate ID, no examination
We must validate the identity of the candidate with photographic identification
We must validate the candidate holds a current Street works card.
The pass mark for all reassessed tests is 80% (8 of the 10 questions correct) there are 10 questions for each street works units.
All relevant areas of the question paper must be completed by the candidate.
Question papers are not for discussion with candidates
The time allocated for each question paper is 30 minutes.
Streetworks qualifications can only be undertaken in the English language; there is no facility to use interpreters.
Legality
5-year reassessments must be taken for a Streetworks qualification to remain current. Operatives working in highways are required to hold Streetworks qualification; and if their qualification lapses, the qualification must be completed as if it were new.

Is your Streetworks reassessment due?
(SWQR) Streetworks cards are valid for 5 years. After this time, candidates must sit reassessment examinations. Industrial Training Services offer a 2-day reassessment package for candidates wishing to renew their Streetworks card.

The Streetworks SWQR card must be renewed and applied for no more than 4 months after the expiry date of the Streetworks card.
